The DON'T BORROW TROUBLE Minnesota Campaign is a public education and outreach initiative aimed at stopping predatory lending practices and foreclosures in the Twin Cities seven-county metropolitan area. The Campaign seeks to educate families and individuals about how to avoid predatory lending scams and foreclosures.

The DON'T BORROW TROUBLE help line has been established at 612.312.2020 or toll free at 866-462-6466 to offer families a safe place to call if they have questions about a home loan or are at risk of foreclosure. Don’t Borrow Trouble connects callers to a network of nonprofit and community organizations that can offer free advice and help create a confidential action plan for the caller. The campaign is led by the Family Housing Fund and the Minnesota Home Ownership Center.
